Crazy days, each one seems to be more and more busy. Honestly, I love it. I love a little chaos, keeps me on my toes. And the less-chaotic days seem to be fewer and farther between. Which is totally fine, bring it.

LIFE: Braces, a fact of life
Ugh, the inevitable, on some children, is braces. When I saw it coming for my daughter before she turned 10, I thought about the hassle (duh, no gummy bears), the appointments, and the expense. I just came across $500 off Invisalign through 1st Impressions Orthodontics team. I didn't use them, but if I had seen this deal, I would have!

LOVE: New menu at CPK
I was invited, through Sugar Loco, to be one of the first to sneak a peek {and taste} of the new Adventures menu at California Pizza Kitchen. To my surprise, no pizza on the menu! Which is totally ok, one time I ventured off the pizza menu and tasted the Roasted Veggie Salad = instant crush.
And being that I'm food's number one fan, it's tough to pass up an offer to taste yumminess like this...

Business: September Speaking Engagements
I'm super stoked to tell you that I've been asked to speak at two separate events this month. It gets me excited and a little nauseous at the same time. #seriously.
Monday, September 10, 2012 - from 6:30 til 8:30ish at the DaVinci Institute, at The Vault in Louisville, CO. This one is all about the Empire of One, the new trend in one-person online businesses. Hopefully I can share my story and inspire others to continue with their passions. If you'd like to come you can sign up here online, it's free to members and $20 for non-members. Great group of passionate entrepreneurs!

Life: Rose's new SURPRISE bedroom
I promise you this post IS going to be lengthy...So make sure you have a few minutes, and snacks, to enjoy.
A little background. Rose turned 12 on August 4. She is the most organized child I know, even at a young age staying up late to make sure her room was clean before going to bed. What 4 year old does that, other than one using that as a procrastination technique? No, that wasn't her, she needed to have a clean room to truly "rest". So we let her. Fast forward several years, paired with my need to change things constantly, I thought about her taking my office in the basement (which is not a creepy basement, it's finished and where we hang out) - the largest room in the house. She can handle the large space, I have total faith that she'll keep it clean and organized.

Business: Optimism
Do you often wonder if optimism is a bad thing? Honestly, I do. I start thinking about a great idea, and then instantly take myself back to other great ideas that presumably failed. I get myself worked up over things that, I think, will be a huge success and then I'm let down when it isn't as big of a success as I thought it would or should be. Do you do that?
I think most entrepreneurs have the optimism gene in them, otherwise they would fail, quickly. Not that failing is a bad thing, sometimes failure can be the path to opening a new door for you.
“Whether you think you can, or you think you can't --
you're right.”

Love: New Pics
Welp, I finally made it happen. I've had a whole day to myself...Well kinda, aside from the giant hole in my front yard that's being dug at the moment. Long story short, our main plumbing line's seal broke and dropped about an inch. And it became really lovely in my basement for a few days. ICK. Anyway, no big deal, I've actually turned those lemons into lemonade. And you know what, strange things happen when you take a positive approach to looking at something, trying to look for the good. I'm amazed at what God is blessing us with right now.
